SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS WE SUPPORT
Though social media campaigns may, at first, appear frivolous and ineffective, they are, in fact, very effective in raising awareness of substance abuse and directly disseminating the message to youth, who are often very active on social media. These campaigns have the ability to start chain reactions through retweeting, sharing, and tagging.
COMMUNITY EFFORTS TO PREVENT YOUTH SUBSTANCE ABUSE (NOT TREATMENT CENTERS- FOR TREATMENT CENTERS, SCROLL DOWN)
Pima County Teen Court- a nonprofit diversion program for adolescents who have committed misdemeanors and certain felonies at which I volunteer and represent these teens as a teen attorney.
Arizona Governor's Youth Commission- a statewide commission appointed by the Arizona Governor's Office. Fifty-one youth from all fifteen counties work together to solve the biggest issue's facing youth today, including substance abuse.
Community Prevention Coalition- a Pima County coalition of members representing prevention organizations and community efforts to combat substance abuse. BeFreePima is a youth-led program of the Community Prevention Coalition.
RESOURCES FOR YOUTH
